Plumbing Question

Hey guys, I am purchasing a Oceanic 150g RR in the near future. I am not sure what kind of bulkheads it comes with or the size of the holes predrilled. I was wondering if anyone had that information. I was also just wondering how much flow I would be needing as far as a return pump what kind of flow I should be aiming for. Thanks

I know sometimes it is hard to get simple questions answered here.. but don't give up. The information you seek should be available on the Oceanic web site.

Having worked in an LFS, every Oceanic, All-Glass, Perfecto.. aka mass produced RR tank comes with (1) hole for a 3/4in bulkhead and (1) hole for a 1in bulkhead PER overflow box. I believe the 150RR has (2) overflow boxes, so you should get 2 of each hole. Typically no bulkheads come with them unless the supplier of the tank in providing you with them.

As far as your return pump goes - more information is needed. Are you doing FO, FOWLR, Reef? Do you plan to have a closed loop, additional powerheads, or other current production? What are your plans altogether?

When trying to get simple questions answered here, you should provide as much information as possible since there are so many possibilities. Also, be sure you post in the correct forum..you posted this in the "Large Reef Tanks" forum, which is typically dedicated to tanks 180G's or larger, not to shy you away from posting, but there are thousands of members of RC and thus several forums to keep the questions organized so that everyone gets answered.

Hopefully this was some help.
