My tank is drilled on the bottom and I'm trying to figure out the plumbing for my gravity drain to my sump.
The previous owner had 1 1/2" pvc for the main drain and it reduced down to 1" at the bulkhead... My question is should I replicate that design or would I be ok to drain with 1" since that's the size of the bulk head anyways?
The tank is 180g with two holes drilled at each end and my return pump is a mag 18.
A few other questions just came to mind.
1. Since there is plumbing for one return at each end and one drain at each end should I run two pumps or split the outflow from my mag 18?
2. Weight load? I will have over 100lbs of Rock the weigh of the tank and by my estimate over 200 gallons of water on the main floor of my house. The floor joists run lengthwise under the tank and are 2x8 spaced 16" apart. One of the joists has a wall (so it is supported by the 2x4 frame). Will I bust through my floor? Should I add a jack post to one of the joists?
Thanks for your input in advance guys and gals!
