Plumbing suppliers for the hobby

Can you provide a link to what you bought please. I am probably going to get my 180 up this summer which is drilled homemade Starfire tank , and will need at least one of these for the coast to coast overflow with the Bean Animal plumbing type setup. Any pics of your setup? Let us know how the part you bought works.

This is what I've been using on my Bean. I have a 150 deep dimension on the first floor and the valve is about 8-12" above my sump water level. I am currently using a Blueline 70 pump and I am nowhere near my drain capacity.

This is the gate valve I used. It is a King Brothers. I got it from amazon for like $12.

Here are some pics of the setup. It isn't totally finished in my basement.

I am running 1" drain lines, and a 1" to 2 3/4" returns to the tank.

SUPER- cant wait for updates. I just realized I have to take the tank I have completely apart as its been in a shed that gets cold and hot and from what I have read- the seals wont hold anymore and the silicone breaks down in cold/hot - blahh.... more work. I may end up replacing the back panel of the tank completely as it is drilled kinda funky - has 5 holes in it and they are not evenly spaced. More research required.

I did a water test today, no leaks. I haven't hooked up the return pump yet. Maybe this week I'll start to fill it with water, and then I can start to adjust the flow.
