Plumbing the Tank (finally?)

If I can put my addiction of Halo3 aside thid weekend I am going to try and get the tank plumbed. Had a few Q's as I haven't done anything waterworthy in 2 yrs.

1. Overflow- In my noobian state I had the tank's overflow built with only 14~15" linear overflow. I had planned on doing two 2" drains but now know that linearly I won't get that much flow.
So I plan on doing only one 2" drain. and running the return (ehiem 1250) up through the other hole.

What would be the best drain for me? Durso, Stockman, or has anyone tried the hofer gurgle buster?

2. What is the diameter of RO tubing, I went to Lowes awhile back and they had like 5 different sizes of refrigerator water feed lines.

3 More questions will come when I realize that I don't remember half of my original plans.

1. I'm running the Durso Drain Pipe and its Very quite and I don't have any problems with it. I did however use aquarium silicon to attach it to the bulkhead as well as in the between the two tubes. otherwise it would slowly drain the water in the back of the overflow chamber.

2. RO Diameter depends on your unit but I think most units are universal I think mine is a quarter of an inch (O.D.)

I remember trying to plump my tank. I made it out harder than it really was. I used Braided tubing for my tank. Which was less work I think.

I was wondering about the RO tubing from the unit, not the parts that hook it up to the water supply.
Not really worried about the difficulty of plumbing the tank, my old tank was fairly easy and compared to remodeling the bathroom it should be a piece of cake.

more importantly, what is your gamer tag?

i'll probably be on tonight.

I get an uneasy feeling thinking about anyone playing online games in just boxers...kind of scarey. :D

I haven't done Halo yet...I am way behind the times. I wish I had more time.

Re: Plumbing the Tank (finally?)

Well, I guess I derailed my own thread by mentioning halo3. It wasn't a call out looking to play with guys in boxers. So here goes again.
