Plumbing

I have an eshopps r100 sump and it came with a gray hose that is supposed to go from the tank overflow into the sump

Seems to me that hose is a problem looking to happen (and it drip/leaks a hair)

I see pics of pvc plumbing rather than this hose.

On my tank the distance from the through tank fitting to the overflow in the sump is less than foot

Suggestions on what to use for this piece of plumbing?

I've always used hard PVC plumbing for my drain lines. Goes directly into my sump (make sure to use unions)

I've used the gray hoses for 25 years, never an issue, typically salt creep plugs up any gaps but you could use plumbers putty if that makes you feel safer, but they aren't "a problem looking to happen."
