PM during lights off? Ok during lights on?

Hi guys, this may sound weird, but, my squamosa seems as if it has PM but only when the actinics are on, when the metal halides kick in the clam expands normally and none of the mantle folds over its self/ crinkles andlooks like stretching. Does this sound right? Or should i be wary? (im thinking the mantle folds over its self because theres not much light when only the actinics are on).

i think you may be confusing normal mantle expression with PM.
