PM Hot Skimmer?

Anybody have Precision Marine Hot Skimmer? I'm thinking about buying this Skimmer but I just don't know if it is any good. I have Remora Pro right now and it is just not performing that good and all I have is lot of tiny bubbles in the tank. Only thing this thing pulls out is green water not brownish gunks like other skimmers that I see here. Can anybody recommand other HOB skimmers?

Thanks.

I can't offer any comments about the PM skimmer, but I just tore down my Remora Pro. I was running it with a Mag5 pump and still wasn't satisfied with its performance. I replaced it with a Deltec MCE600. The improvement was noticeable immediately. I finally understand others comments about the Remora being noisy, inconsistant, and worst of all, a huge pump in the tank and only producing tea color skimmate. The Deltec pulled some ugly stinking stuff from my tank in less than 2 days. And I did a 30% water change before turning it on. It's quiet and only puts an intake and output tube in the tank. The Deltec pump sits inside the skimmer body "outside" of the tank. Yes it was expensive, but so are my fish and corals. I'm not trying to bash Aqua-C and I still have a standard Remora on a 29g. I'm sure there are cheaper and still efficient units out there. I'm just through guessing and experimenting for a good skimmer on my 54g. Good luck.

I've read nothing but good about Deltec, and if you have the money, that would be my first choice.
I'm currently running a coralife 220 HO on my 90 and I'm pretty happy with it.
I've read some complaints about the smaller coralifes, pump issues, but I haven't heard anything bad about the 220.
Mine is also very quiet.
Just be careful of adjustment level especially at break in.
They can overflow.

just a quicki these great skimmers like the deltec can thay over-skim, on my system [90galons + 20g sump] iv only got a prizm hang-on skimmer and miricle mud in the sump not much comes out 1/2 cup a week with 14 fish in tank iv very low nitrates[3] is this a poor skimmer being helped by the miricle mud ? is it worth changing skimmer ?

I imagine it's possible, but that's something I can easily regulate. I'm more concerned about the opposite -- underskimming and its negative effects. My first skimmer was a Sea Clone. After all ...a skimmer's a skimmer, right? Well even as a newbie it didn't take me long to figure out, "something ain't right here." If only I'd known for money spent on a Sea Clone 150 + a Remora Pro + a Mag5 upgrade, I could own another Deltec. Everyone's tank, husbandry, and budget is unique. So justifying an equipment change is a decision only you can make.

I was planning on getting a HOB fuge and new HOB Skimmer but now after checking out deltec MCE600 I can't make the decision. Would deltec be better than adding a HOB fuge and decent HOB skimmer? The money I was going to spend on the fuge and skimmer could pay for a new deltec. Can anybody make a decision for me? Is deltec really incrediblely better than other HOB skimmers?

Turoboflotor 1000 MLS

I've got the Turboflotor 1000 MLS on my 120. It's skims great from me. There is a very large pump in my tank though - the Ocean Runner 2700. I'm trying to think of a way to go to a sump eventually, but I don't even have fish yet so I'm going to wait a little while - maybe this summer.

After looking into deltec MCE600 for a while I decided to go with Deltec. I just ordered one, there was 21 back ordered Deltec MCE600 and mine is 22nd one. I should have it by next week with the outlet mod.
