Pod tank

I have a 10 gallon just sitting around with gravel some LR, heater and a filter. I was going to just keep LR rock in there and let the pods go crazy for a while. How would i trap them so i can put the into my dt or give them away to people that have fussy eaters?

Thank you,
Jacob

I've heard of people just using chaeto and shaking it in the water a bit or also using some porous sponge as a vessel.

3rd whats mentioned above, but I took a different route as it was easier for me.
I used a 1 gallon jug with a airline into it to bubble slowly. I added a jar of pods and phytoplanton. Its in my cold basement but up against my reeflo pump for some heat. Only ambient sunlight and occasional room light. They seem to be breading slowly. A dedicated tank with a heater, LR and chaeto would probably get better results but I didn't have the supplies/room.

I didn't have the supplies/room.

hahaha im using my walk in closet :)

Thank you everyone! ill add some chaeto. What lights have you used that caused the fasted grow rates? 10k cfl from lowes or something?

Thank you everyone

Growth rate for the pods or chaeto? For the chaeto get the "daylight" CFL bulbs from either store. Pods I recall don't like direct light, probably why they hide in the chaeto.

Guess i was to general lol. I knew pods don't grow with the amount of light that's in the tank. I was asking about the cheato because i have heard mixed things about the lighting requirements.

I'm running the same light as naprestsleep (with a piece of his chaeto in the tank) and am getting good growth with the chaeto. The light is on for 14-16 hours depending on the day.
