Ok, so what's best for the tank sandbed and refugium Amphipods or Copapods. I been hearing that a tank needs this critters and that they are part of the CUC. I'm already on my fourth month going on fifth and I can't seem to keep a nice white sandbed. I do my water change one day(every sunday) and the next day its turning brown. I did, however, control the cyano(at least I think I did...). My fuge only has sand and rubble. All my param are zeros, lighting(12hr/day) is (1)actinc & (1)18000K, I only use RODI water, I have one koralia 2 and the new Koralia 1000, plus a Seio 2000 and Mag5 return. The skimmer on my system was given to me and I would say is not as effective as i would think since it only produces after a week or two. I used to use Instant Ocean but began using Marine Environment(a two phase mixture).
So do you guys think that the brown stuff that keeps growing on my sand is in part due to not having the pods in there. Plus were online is it a good place I can buy this things.
