I broke my rocks down to catch fish to medicate and I saw this guy. Freaked me out. I thought pods were small..
 
Watch your fingers! Interesting hitch hiker. You could probably trade him at the LFS if you don't want him.

Yes, that is a Stomatopod. They are best off setup in their own dedicated tank and are extremely interesting and fun to interact with. I love mine and is in a 20 long tank. But some get quite big like the L. maculate and fairly strong like G. chiragra which could potentially break a smaller/thinner tank's glass and would need a bigger tank like a 40 breeder with thicker glass.

I just don't get it. For an invert that is around 50 bucks at the store, how do so many people end up with them as hitch hikers.
