Pods!

So as you guys know, Scott and I completely tore down my tank and redid the aquascaping. Everything that was in the main display was dipped to get rid of the flatworm problem that I did have (it fixed it by the way). Well since then I have absolutely NO pods in my main display. I mean absolutey none. I have some down in the fuge, but not like I used to. I'm afraid that my scooter might die from lack of food, what should I do? I was thinking of getting a little bottle of those live ones that Hector sells, but I'm not sure if that will get them going.

Also, my coraline doesn't seem to be growing any either. I think I'm going to get some salifert all in one to fix that.

They will come back fast as long as there is food, but your Scooter will slow the recovery, see if someone with an established tank will take him for a while. As for those pods you can buy, they are probably Tigger Pods. A good food source but need a culture set up to reproduce. A fuge and feed them phyto. Your scooter would eat them in 2 days, at $24.99.

Well the scooter is eating some brine and mysis, but I'm not sure its enough. I have found that he also eats the small pellet food, but that is only if they make it to bottom before everything else eats it. I thought the pods would eventually come back, but geeze they should be back by now.

I had a similar problem when I upgraded to a newer tank. I was certain that my mandarin was going to die so I employed the mandarin Diner.

I'd just fill it with warious frozen treats and a few pellets and strategically position it so that my shrimp wouldn't eat all of it. My mandarin is finally fattening up again. I've still got it if you'd like to try it out until your pods recover.

Kris, that is a cool device.

Adam, the tigger pods that Hector has should help. Put them in the sump and let them naturally go to the main display by overbreeding and getting sucked into the pumps.

If yor corraline growth is down, you should test for Mg, Ca and Alk.
