Polishing Acrylic, what is best?

My wife and I recently bought a tank from one of the reef central members and we are very happy to have the tank. He told us that it would need some work to make it show quality again and now we are to that point.

Are there any particular brands of polish that you prefer over other? Have you ever used a electric buffer to aid the process? And lastly, I have polished various metals but that doesn't mean I understand polishing very well so can you go over the basics?

Thanks to every for any information.

I just got done using the Scratch Removel Kit made by Pentair Aquaculture and I was very impressed! It took out some serious scratches and left no trace. They claim that is what they use on airplanes windshields. Make sure you read the instructions and never go in a circular motion.

jmkarcz & Buster4900, what size tanks did you use it on? I have a 36x20x20 tank I would like to polish up, no large scratches. Do you think the 2 oz starter kit would be enough or should I go with the 8 oz kit? Thanks Joe
