Thoughts? Going acrylic and I'm looking at two sizes.

120x36x30 or 96x48x30. Which one and why?

Cheers!

What type of scape are you looking at? I think if you are going to be mainly looking at the front, the longer tank will be nicer. 4 feet wide IMO will not do much more than 3 feet, unless you are going to have a really deep scape and/or looking at the tank alot from the side.

Front viewing only....the tank will be built into a wall cabinet only viewable from the front.

I like 4 feet deep but I am partial as my tank is 48'x96x24 and I am almost sorry I didnt go 96x48x30. That said, I can walk around 3 sides of mine. I would say its a toss up. The 120" length might be better since it will be built in but then again, the extra 12" of depth will give you more options as far as your aqua scaping goes. You could really have some fun with those dimensions depending on how you lay it out.

As for aquascaping fun.. Imagine being able to sit inside your tank while assembling the structure......
