Polyps and zoos

There are times when one type of Zoanthid flourishes and another type dies off. Something about the genetics or the zooxanthellae leave it vulnerable.

About a year ago I had my Zoos die but my polyps all lived and are still doing great. I did have some Nitrate and phosphate back then, which I have since corrected.

What do you mean by polyps, GSP and clove polyps?

What are your tank parameters, you say some nitrate and phosphate, some is good, none or too much is bad.

Green button polyps.
Nitrates are pretty much 0 now. But will fluctuate a little I have a Niger trigger.
Phos. are now about .1 or so. But going down because I have a new reactor.

Back then I wasn't testing much

Ah, well I mean that is a type of zoanthid/palythoa that survived. But pretty hard to say what killed them all one year ago. Pretty late to ask haha
