OOPS dirty glass... if only the glass was clean when I took this picture. This is the first time I've caught my pom pom crab climbing on my red grape algae. If the glass was clean the picture would have came out perfect. Oh well

Thanks, she has been living in my tank for almost five months. She use to have a cluch of eggs but she wouldn't come out of the cave long enough for me to take a pic.

That little crab is fantastic. Where didn't you find the red grape algae? I've been looking for some for awhile. Does it grow pretty fast?

I have had the grape algae for over a year now. I bought the grape algae originally from live aquaria. When I first got the algae it took for ever to grow even a little. It grows a little faster now, I guess because its in such a healthy tank. I want to sell some but my lfs doesn't give store credit for algae and I don't know any other aquarist in san marcos.

parothead22 I got the pom pom crab from bluezooaquatics.com She has been healthy and doing well in my 24g aquapod since day one. So far everything I have bought from bluezoo has been top notch. They have them in stock right now if you want one.

I feed her mysis shrimp, coral food and cyclopese. She even grabs the mysis shrimp from the feeding tongs. If I don't spot feed her she will climb up on my hammer coral and steal food from it. She doesn't damage the coral..just annoys it but to make sure she doesn't hurt the coral.. I feed her first to keep her off the coral.
