Pomacanthus imperator

I am doing a paper on Pomacanthus imperator. I have a few things that I can't seem to find in the litterateur. Do you know if the imperator has the ability to change sex? I know that at lot of its relatives can do this trick but I can't find a reliable source that can tell me if the imperator can. Also I would love some nice pictures of male and female side by side. I have been told that they are almost impossible to tell apart but that there is a slid difference.

I have been told that the dorsal fin on mature males will have an extension shaped like a large rose thorn. Females will be rounded.
Nothing to back that up though.

adults from the Pacific have a filament on the dorsal fin and a yellow tail...adults from the red sea and indian ocean dont have a filament and their tails are orange...adults around Chriatmas Island have round shaped dorsals...juvis are excellent cleaners are clean other fish of parasites, clean their wounds, teeth etc...great fish, very curious and intelligent, beautiful swimmers...not sure how to sex them...

I have not heard of a way to distinguish between male and female in the genuses of pomacanthus and holacanthus.

Males get dark cheeks. Not sure if that is only during courting/breeding, or not...
