Pond pump?

I have a pond pump that my dad doesnt use (hes into ponds and all that) It fills a 2 gallon nano in about 6 seconds so im guessing at least 500gph. my question is: Will this be too much for my 10 gallon? I would like to use this pump instead of buying a bunch of power head and I can probably stick some t connections everywhere to where there are no dead spots. What do you guys think? Ill get some pictures soon

sounds like a good idea, but it might be pretty trick with all the plumbing you would need to do to make the flow somewhat manageable
