wife gives ok for one of the two not both

1.. corvette (would have to sell current reef)

2.. reef upgrade

love reefing but this ones pretty close what do you guys think

If I could do it over again I would have bought the vette. $15-20K invested in reef keeping since the start (2yrs ago), Aprox $300 to keep it running every month.

I could have a new Z06 in the drive way

I sold my vette last year and took up reefing instead.

Can't enjoy the car in the rain and winter and how much are you really going to drive it? They start to become garage queens unless it's going to be your daily driver. Just my 2 cents from experience.

I have a fun Z06 and 2 reef tanks!

I never could make up my mind so I got both!

PSS - I enjoyed the vette too, but maybe it's because we still have one sports car left that barely gets driven.

I'm sure I'll catch crap for saying keep the reef and ditch the vette idea ;-)

Go for the 1000 gal. tank. You could always get the vett later.

Having a 1000 gal. tank..............Prizeless :)

I'm suprised nobody has said he should upgrade his wife for one that will let him have both :)

Joking of course

Yea my wife is pretty damn cool. I am cutting down some though. My budget project in my living room went a bit over budget. It started with a used tank from someone from this board. It was pretty easy to talk the wife into. (look everything is included) Last weekend I looked at the tank and realized the only thing left from my budget buy was the live rock :)

I don't even have to make the decision but it's making me sick anyway. I have no idea what I would do........

Hey, Bryan - I'm with Flapjack, Colin and Whirley :)

1) Upgrade the wife, and get the Vette and the Reef (or all 3 including flying lessons, if you include Flap's suggestion). If that's not an option, I heard hypnosis works well with Wives in those circumstances

2) Get the Vette and the Flying Lessons. I know of someone who owns a Cessna 172 that may let you use it for your first flight :) (me) - and THEN sneak in a small aquarium.

3) Get the Vette, no flying lessons. It's a lot slower to sneak a reef aquarium into the house than a Vette. :) And besides - I just bought a Pico 4.4 Gallon tank today...

Did I mention get the Vette?

p.s.: Proud Owner of a 2003 Triple Black Vert Vette, even though Sara B wouldn't race me with her Clown Shoe, 450RWHP, looks stock.

Proud owner of 58G (though lusting for a 180), a 50G freshwater, and a 4.4G PICO!!

AND proud owner of a Cessna 172 and a M20K Turbo Mooney, though I owe Hurley a phone call to get him current on the 172...

the vette has been a dream car for a long time, but like sara b said garage queen. maybe I could put a reef in the vette :) ???
She did say I could get another tank after I pay off the car, but I dont know if I want to go through all the trials and tribulations again.

Bottom line gas is expensive and is going to get more expensive very soon. Do the reef upgrade.

Now if you must have a car.....then get a real car, like Jimmy said, '67-'72 Mopar or Chevy. Hemicuda/ Challenger/ Charger/Chevelle/ Nova/ late 50's early 60's 'vette.

I'd have to ask you this. What is more important to you? Something you can relax to and watch grow or having some fun with a pricetag to the county? P.S. I'm on a budget now!
