Uh, Pooky.... You spelled Poukie wrong !

Sorry, I'm just seeing this thread for the first time. The tank looks great !

I also have a 300g, but mines not set up yet, I'm waiting until I move.

Well, you SHOULD know better. Pooky is the masculine version........;)

You'll love the big tank. It gives you infinite aquascaping possibilities. Enough to take up all of your free time.

PHAT BOY!!! :eek1: :eek1: :eek1: :eek1: :eek1: :eek1: :eek1: ..............

Wow, that's one heck of a skimmer.

Nice collection of chalice's too. I guess I need to move to CA at some point to get these goodies.

Thats a big boy!!

Looking great!

Thanks. Yeah, it's so big that it's going to be a tight squeeze trying to get this monster into the sump. I hope it isn't a problem :eek2:

Wow! That's a nice looking skimmer. I guess Greg's impressed you?

Thanks M. Actually, I was impressed from the very beginning even before WM released them. I could tell from all the pix that these were quality built skimmers. While I was picking up my skimmer, I saw a WM Ca reactor that was custom made for a store. it was a monster at almost 3 feet tall with an 8" body. Of course I ask him to make me a smaller version  I don't think my Geo 618 can keep up once the corals grow out.

Thanks Chris. You don't need to live here, just come for a visit. I know spleen is pondering a visit to SoCal during Reef-A-Palooza in October ;)

That's enough of an argument for me. I'm on the next flight to SoCal. :)

LOL.......I was at South Padre Island last week. With the heat and humidity, that's good enough reason to come to SoCal :D

Time to swap the skimmers.......

Side by side of the H&S and WM.

Because my sump water level is around 12" and the skimmer operates optimally at around 8-10" of water, I purchased some 3" couplers to raise the skimmer.

Man, it was a tight squeeze to get it into the sump. Just barely made it. It would have ruin anyone's day if it was too big

Holy cr*p ... those 3 inch couplers on the bottom of that skimmer give you perspective on how big that skimmer is! :eek2:
