Cool stuff Rob! How hot does it get in your supply room? Are you running a chiller in the summer? I may have to do something like that when i upgrade and put my tank in the front family room.
Also how does your water change station work?

winter air temp inside room is 62-69 summer is 75-80 . I vent out through the top and in through the middle. air comes from the house and out to outside. i have a window behind the room that i run my plumbing and air duct through.I run a 1/4 hp chiller in the summer.

water change station has, RODI, 20g rubbermaid trash can (NSF) with float valve, and a Quiet One 4000 that i mix with and then pump over to sump after water change.

Rob, that's a sweet set up. I wouldn't call it a poor man's fish room at all. Look more like an innovative way to not take up a room in your house to me!

Thanks guys. Their are so many things i like about having all the wat stuff outside and all the electronics/dry stuff inside. it works well for me. I thought i would share it.

shes good. after she showed freckels (Purple Tang) she wasnt going to take it. it all calmed down. Its funny How all my tangs now are just so focuced on eating. they wont stop picking the rocks. Before they would just would wait for me to feed and spend the day swimming around and splashing around the tank. Big Bird, Perfict thats her name! now we have 13 named fish.

Nice job! I debated on doing the same thing, but a friend who had an outside fish room (like yours) told me it was expensive to keep it heated during the winter.

that is why i vent it the way i do. i bring 78+ dagree air from the house into it and vent out humid air. And i thought i was the first to try this. the walls have a 2 inch air gap that i beleave help out with the diffrent outside air temp. One day i think i will do something like a expanding foam insulation in side the walls to bring the insulating capabilities up on it. well see.

Looks great. We bought a used 300 gal tank and the previous owner had it set up like that in the rubbermaid storage thing. I think its a great way to keep it out of the house.
