Popular Nano Skimmers

Been away from here for a while. I just broke my prizm skimmer beyond repair. I have been using it on my 10 gal. nano. Can you guys give me some recomendations on a good nano skimmer or should I just get another prizm?

If the Prizm skimmer you had was working good you might just as well get another one. However the AquaC Nano Remora seems like a really good skimmer for smaller tanks but is a little more expensive them the Prizm.

The Tunze Nano is getting good reviews. I tried it but unfortunately I could not fit it in the sump area in my aquapod. I modified it to put a another powerhead and loc-line on the right side. I had to get a HOB on the back skimmer. I sent the Tunze back and got a Remora Nano. It's a little louder than what i wanted but it's skimming like a champ.

i have read from some people that they had placed the tunze in the rear of the aquapod... by how close was it to having it fit there?

well it wouldn't fit because i modded mine and added a bulkhead to the right side. i think if i had not had that in there then it would've fit.

Sapphire Aquatics makes skimmers custom fit for the NC12 and NC24 and I hear they're making coming out with one for the BioCube 29 sometime this week. It's been a hot topic on nano-reef the last couple of weeks.
