Porcupine Puffer and Piccaso Trigger diet

SPS Killer
I understand Krill is a no no or should be fed very rarely because the excess Iodine can cause lock jaw.

My plan was to feed mostly Hikari Bloodworms, PE Mysis, Hikari Mysis, and maybe silversides?

To help knaw down it's teeth, I was reading I should feed supermarket clams or "table" shrimp. Is it really safe to just throw in dead market clams and shrimp for the fish? Any advice on other foods I should be considering?

What kind of dry food will they eat? There are times I'll be gone for 3-4 days and want to setup an autofeeder.

I have done clams. I would recommend rinsing thoroughly, let that water drain off, and then I let soak in a small cup of tank water in aminos and selcon.

I also like feeding squid (my tusk loves it).

I have not left unfed for 3-4 days but from what I have read you are fine with feeding a lot before you leave and that should be fine for that amount of time.

On the half shell ...Yes table shrimp is fine for them..Been feeding my triggs and puffers shrimp, clams and scallops for years ..I also feed them trigger formula(frozen cubes) and NLS and hikari pellets..Every couple months i toss in some hermits and snails too

Do I feed the clams whole still closed or partially open?
RE A few of your posts above.
Wedge a piece of cuttlebone )the bone of a cuttlefish) somewhere in the LR. Great for keeping puffer teeth trimmed. the kind for birds, no vitamins added

Be sure the shrimp are shell-on and not cooked; cut them into bite size pieces, shell & all. The clams from the store aren't dead if the shells are tightly closed. Pry it open or whack it with a hammer. I never feed my fish if I'm just gone 3-4 days. Won't hurt the fish at all.
