Porcupine Puffer not eating-suggestions?

Porcupine in QT for 4 weeks. Looks very healthy. Swimming around great. Just never see him eat. Parameters are good. Have had previous experience with porcupines and they've always eaten krill and brine until they bloat up, but not this one. I never see him go after it. It's possible he eats after I turn the lights off and walk away, but I've never seen a puffer not go after it as soon as it hits the water.

What do you mean by bloat up? I hope you dont mean when they puff up.

Try putting snails and hermits in the tank and see if he'll eat that, or try feeding clams.

There's also a paste for puffers that you smear on rocks to grind their teeth, some of that on a clam shell might perk him up

What was the fish eating at the LFS before you purchased it? If you haven't already, try replicating that diet first.
