hey everyone got mixed answers on this puffer.. My wife is in love with it and is wanting one so so bad (maybe buy another tank:dance:) but I think their not reef safe and we only have a 75g tank for right now.. Example Liveaquaria says not reef safe but reefs2go says they are and other places and other people say with caution.. Just looking for a true answer please

Not reef safe and these animals get huge. You need to skip this fish until you have a larger tank. hundreds of gallons. They are quite charming. Show your wife a Toby puffer. Moderately reef safe and a good long term addition to your tank. And still cute and personable.

Don't do it since porcs can get 10" easily (depending on species). They can eat many frozen silver sides when tossed in a tank so it will rip through your little fish and clean up crew.

That would be a fun outcome. Good luck and kudos for heeding the advice. Cheers.

+1 I sure don't expect everyone to take my, or anyone's advice. But there are so many folks that just want one person to say yes and that justifies doing something stupid. Its magical the way so many folks just disappear when they aren't getting the help (justification) they're hoping for.
