Well it started out like this.....
About a month ago i fragged 2 frags off of my colt coral. 1 for my sons tank and 1 for fkdenton. I dont know about fkdentons but my sons is very healthy and growing daily. My colt looked bad after being fragged and shriveled up a bit and i figured this was normal after having a arm cut off!
Anyway a week later and i added a LARGE torch (8-10 head the size of 2 softballs) a electric blue clam, and a colony of green polyps. Then the following week we added a short tentacle plate, sun coral, yellow polyps, and a couple of leathers.
All this time of adding new stuff i kind of lost track of the health of my colt and now it has fallen off its rock and has shriveled to almost nothing. Now i notice that the 2 new leathers arent looking as well as they did in the store and not puffing up all the time. Maybe only for a hour or two is all.
Could this be a chemical war between the softies and the LPS in the tank? I dont have any critters that pick on leathers that i know of.
THey consist of:
Regal tang
2 true percs
royal grama
foxface lo
brittle star
2 peppermints
handle full of blue legs and snails
What params are the same as they always have been with only a trace of nitrates showing.
Corals consist of:
Zenia
Anthelia
Zoos
Green polyps
Yellow polyps
cabbage leather
mushrooms
hairy mushrooms
large torch
hammer
frogspawn
sun coral
short tentacle plate
lobo brain
electric blue clam
green ric
and a couple of leathers that i dont know the name of.....
Does this sound like a chemical war going on that is affecting the leathers? The one leather is rather close to the torch but the torch is downstream ......
Any suggestions or things i might be over looking? Thanks
Wes
