the only thing that has changed is my lighting i went from halides to HOt-5 It still eats fine and in fact it split today which im kinda excided about. anything i should be worried about my phosphates are a little high but i wouldnt think that would affect it.

I'll ask for params before anyone else does haha.. Could it possibly be your clown that is "loving it to death", as in the anemone? Looks as it is quite a big clown for that anemone honestly, but I am no expert.

Good Luck!

all parameters are in good shape except for phosphates...and im slowely getting that under control. I had a feeling someone was going to say loving it to death. everything has been fine with it for over 2 months and the clown has been in there for a year now

Your anemone should be at least 3x larger than your colwn. Is this a photo after the split or before. If the clown is too rough it could really be a problem for the anemone while healing, usually is not a problem but such a big fish and small anemone. Is there any way you can protect it for a while to give it a chance to heal?

The clown is going to kill it. They get real aggressive with it to the point the anemone gives up and dies. Had a clarki the did it to 3 of them.

it is a clown its a ora fireclown i have a mated pair of them...that is the female who has taken it over the male is about half her size...I had a feeling thats what everyone was going to tell me but just had to hear it. the anenome was given to me by a lady i do work for the clowns have been in the tank for a year now and the anem. for about 3 months maybe longer dont remember exactly, but it didnt start doing this until recently and when she was inflated she was about 2.5x the clown at least her disc was.
