Is that just the plastic on the outside thats toast? It doesnt look like the heater is actually broken, just looks like the llastic holder is burnt up.

Correct. The heater no longer works, but only
The plastic holder melted.

Maybe toxins in the plastic then.

I was guessing that the plastic shed some type off toxins.

I have a blue chromis and a 6 line that are doing great. Im also surprised my clam and other soft corals and zero issues.
