Possible Problem with Anemone

Some of you may remember my first post here . This is right after I first got my LTA. Now's it's a completely different. I't has brought itself out of its sand bad and it's foot just sets on top of the sand. It has shrunken up dramatically but still has the brownish reddish color. The mouth is open enough to where I would say it's the diameter of a penny. 2 days ago I fed it three little krill shrimp and it did not expel these to the best of my knowledge. It did however expel this brown ball like turd yesterday so I am assuming that it ate and digested the shrimp. When my lights come on it does "bloom" out a little bit with it's tentacles but nothing like the pics in the previous post. I just did a 20 gallon water change yesterday morning.

Here's my tank parameters.

100 gallons R/O water
4 actinic white VHO's.
Temp: 78-80
Salinity 1.025
PH: 7.75 or so.
GKH: 6 to 7
Ammonia: 0
Nitrite: 0
Nitrate: Very little.

There's no scarring or lacerations on the foot or anywhere else.

Have not kept LTAs, but having read the FAQ in this forum, I believe you need MHs to keep LTAs happy.

Also, your pH is way too low. You should shoot for 8.0 to 8-3 for pH. Alk is low too. Keep it between 8 and 11 dKH.

You did not mention calcium or magnesium levels. While these may not directly be of concern for you LTA, having them at optimum levels would certainly be beneficial.

hey, i have an LTA right now infact im looking at him as we speak. I run my LTA under 260w PC it does awesome. I got him when he was the size of a golf ball and here it is in an older picture. The black dot is a penny.

As far as the hole opening it could have been he was expelling, as far as his foot coming out of the sand mine moved around for a few days until it found its new home under a rock. You can see the rock in the backround. i've had this anemone for about 8 months. if you have any questions give me a PM ill try my best to answer your questions
