The aquarium has been up and running since February. 60 gallon 24x24x24
0 Ammonia. 0 Nitrite. 8.2-8.4 pH. SG is around 1.023 with hydrometer
Last fish was added early may. 2 mated ocellaris clowns
Now the things i may be having an issue with:
The 2 clowns have pimple looking things under their bottom jaw. Each have 2-3. They have no real color. More or less looks clear or normal colored. I'll TRY to get pictures of it later but they are small and my camera is terrible. Also, they have never been interested in my rocks. They will hang out on the front and left side of the tank. Never going farther than maybe 6" from the glass. Normal? They both will go down to the sand bed and "sweep" it with their tails. Another seemingly weird act.
Now the other fishes (Yellow Wrasse) face looks to have lost all his pigment. Its gone white but just looks like the yellow has gone away. No other place on his body has any discoloration. LFS thinks its natural and he is getting his adult coloration? He showed me a picture of his full grown wrasse and it does look like its the same area.
Now onto their behavior. The clowns will hang around the top of the tank for a while then they will swim around the front and bottom during the day. They will always move up to the back left to sleep right at the surface. I have even found my female clown in the overflowbox. I have since covered it and havent had an issue since this scare. The yellow wrasse tends to swim every where and is fun to watch. He will nip at the rock work and weave in and out of the rocks. Could my sand bottom be scratching his face when he goes to sleep? All fish have great appetites. I feed brine shrimp 2 times a day. Putting in a little at a time until its all gone each time i feed.
I hope i have given enough information for an accurate answer. I know pictures would be good but im at work at the moment and will try to get some pictures later on.
