possible RBTA problem

hi everyone,
I have recently bought an RBTA that was split manually, and the 'wound' did not fully heal. The rbta is good in the sense it has not bleached (still very deep red color) and it has a feeding response if 1 -2 mysid fall on its tentacles but it has a tendency to inflate and deflate on a daily basis (deflating into its rock at night and inflating again in the morning). Sometimes when it inflates, it does so much that the 'skin' in between the tentacles looks white and stretched while other times its fine. The RBTA has not momoved an inch (i see its foot every night when it deflates and its in attached in exactly the same spot)

Should i be worried about this inflation and deflation? or is this a normal response to being split manually? (pics and parameters available on request)

thank you :)

how long ago was it?

if it is recent, i would say you are in good shape, and that behavior is natural. is his mouth fully healed? if the mouth is healed, maybe you can feed a little more, or feed directly instead of what he happens to catch to help improve his health.

what kind of lights?

the anemone was split just over 2 weeks ago. I dont believe it has fully healed (i can still see where the anemone has 'closed in' on itsself)

because it is in the rocks and its quite large i cannot really see the mouth, but i will try to feed the anemone directly.

The lights are 250W running a 12k reeflux
