Possible Seahorse pregnancy trouble?

Question please. My male seahorse has had 3 broods thus far. Yesterday he was "due" so I turned off filtration. When I checked on him there were approximately 20 babies in the tank. That's it. He's a Reidi and each of his previous broods have been about 150. Well, looking at him, he still looks as if he may have babies still in his pouch. I have read that they can give birth over hours or a day, but it has now been 30 hours and no sign of more babies.

Should I be worried?

He is behaving normally otherwise--eating, swimming normally, and socializing.

Help.

Thanks.

I wouldn't worry at all. I've had a few of my male Erectus release some babies one day, and a day or two later the rest of them.

I agree with Tom. Unless you see him crunching for a long period of time and not spewing babies out there is nothing to worry about. It is not uncommon for them to have a pre-release a day or so even up to 3 days before the main event.
