I've had a healthy sebae anemone for a little over 11 months now. It rarely moved and expanded to over 15" at times.
About a month ago we had a 9 hour power outage. During that time I managed to keep the water oxygenated via an air stone and heated via a small heater. A couple days after the power outage I noticed that one of my BTA's had moved up in the tank(have 2) and that the sebae had moved down. They are not close to each other. During this time all other tank occupants (sps, lps, leathers, fish and inverts) have been fine.
When the sebae moved I did move a couple corals around to try to provide it better access to light
About 2 days ago I noticed that the sebae started to move back up the rock it was originally higher up on. However since moving up, it has not re-inflated to anywhere near it's full size.
Today it appears to be all but dead. Mostly deflated, not bleached, but no reaction to stimulus, ie retracting when touched.
There are several green stripe mushroom near where it has moved to, could they be stinging it?
I'd post a picture but it's past lights out and I don't want to cause any more stress than their already is.
All advice is greatly appreciated. My clowns both love the sebae and I would hate to lose it.
