Hey guys, I am looking at possibly selling my complete setup.

Today, I was changing out my return pump, and cracked the sump glass to where it is not repairable.

I guess I am just kinda of getting fed up with the whole thing. As there seems to always be somthing going on with it, and its not even completely setup.

I was going to change the return pump tonight that way I could go and pick up my fish and corals that people are holding for me tomorrow.

But since now my sump is pretty much gone, and I would have to invest in another one, and with me possibly losing my job in a few months, I guess I am just going to have to give up on my dream setup as I cannot really afford to put hundreds of dollars more into this setup right now.

I really wish I could keep it, as I have put alot into this tank and waited a long time to get it.

Here is a list of some of the items that I will be possibly selling starting tomorrow. I am not sure on prices yet, so I am just listing the items right now, and will list prices tomorrow unless I somehow come across a sump tomorrow.

Wow, man. Really sorry to hear about your potential job loss and that you're thinking about getting out, especially after picking up an RKE. :)

What size sump do you need? Maybe someone has one they could hook you up with so you don't have to bail on your tank. You've got quite an equipment list and I'd love to see you set this tank up! Especially when you start needing corals! :D

Hopefully someone's got a sump somewhere they're not using at the moment....I know it's hard at times, but try to hold on if you can cause you might regret it later!!! I just lost my sailfin tang tonight for no apparent reason so if you do have to get rid of it, I might be interested in the sailfin. All my other fish are fine but can not find the sailfin that I've had for over a year.

I am with the others in the hope that you can find a quick/cheap fix and keep it going. I am loosing my job July 24th and although it is causing me to cut back on tank, I will keep it going as long as I can put food on my families table. If anything, working on and wathcing the tank is one of the few things that gives me sanity. :)

That said, if you do decide to sell and piece it out, I'd be interested in the following:
Refractometer
1 Koralia 4 Powerhead
... I could use more, but the darn job loss really does cut into things :(

Try and get the broken glass replaced on the sump you already have, A glass shop will be able to cut the piece to size for you and you could even replace It yourself. Just make sure you use construction grade silicone for the repair. You even might get the man who built your tank to do the repair for you If you cannot do It yourself.

I have a 20 gallon long tank I'm not using that could be used as an interim sump you could have for free.

Have you called Ty and checked to see how much it would cost to repair it ? As good as he has been to me I would say he would give you a good deal. Good luck on whatever choose to do.
