Yeah that's the only thing mine bother. I have a lot of zoanthids so that's why I remove them right away. I don't know if I remove all of hydroid but I manage to pull about an inch or 2. I don't see them at that certain spot anymore. I just use a pair of tweezers.

I too have done the same with forceps.

I wish someone would do some testing of the nudis do see if they feed specifically on hydroids and not anything else. These people would make a fortune selling them if it worked.

there are a few threads in which i posted in. just search for hydroids and Lunchbucket. i think there are pics out there already on RC

wow, I apparently have all of the above.

I didnt know the string things were hydroids, I have thousands of them after lights out., but they dont appear to bother anything.

Here's what I have and think are hydroids. They didn't show up until I started using Specta Vital; cause/coincidence? They are everywhere and seem to take out the zoanthids. When I can, I do a fresh water dip (5-6 minutes) on zoas and it seems to knock out the hydroids. I'm winning a few battles, but am losing the war. Sure hate to lose all my zoas.

The hydroids were probably always there. You probably have just seen a bloom since you have been feeding the tank. I've never seen that variety before. Hydoids suck...
