Post Insane Ric Pics!!

Oh no problem then.....Just wanted to see what it looked like from a little bit farther back.......No worries.

How???

How???

How do you all get them to attach in such a nice grouping? I am having all sorts of problems getting them to attach to rocks or anything. I put a bunch in candle holders to brake the flow a while back and they are still not attaching.

Just use super glue on the back of the ricordea, if a little rubble is attached to the ric, then it helps but isn't necessary. Then glue the ric on the rock you want, make sure you do all this while the ric and the rock are outside of the water. Let it sit on the rock for 30 seconds or so, and place it back in the tank. I glued about 20 rics to this rock using that method, and if you give the glue some time to attach to both the ric and the rock, it should stick:

Directly on the ric? The super glue doesn't burn the rics? And just curious how much of that did you buy and how much is it is new growth?

All the rics on that rock were bought together. I glued them all on at the same time.

The glue didn't harm the rics, nor did having them out of water for a minute or two. I have had rics shipped completely dry to me, as in no water!, and they were fine.

I know it is booring color compared to the wonderful shot above. I got a piece of LR with a 1/2 in polyp and the entire rock is covered. The oldest is over 3" and has 1+ inch weird shaped bubbles. Will post more when I get a better camera.

Here is a picture of my rainbow yuma that eventually melted on me for no reason at all. It was a sad, sad, day..........:(

The picture doesn't do it justice either.

Currently running 10K XM's, 250 watt's on ARO electronic ballasts. I also supplement with T5's on IceCap 660 ballast. I have some other ricordia and corallimorpharians that are doing really well so the light shouldn't have been to strong.

I think it got a bacterial infection of some kind that caused it to decline. Could have been an issue with water but had no signs of that being the problem.

Thanks
