Post pics of your 29gal

Thanks for the suggestion choclateblnt. I posted on the local reef club to see if anyone can help. I am scouring craigs list now. Unfortunately I live 3+ hours from the closest city but a lot of the rurals post to these larger sites so hopefully I can find something semi-local and cheap!

I noticed in your above post that you are looking for an auto-topoff system. Here is something I designed. It doesn't have any moving parts and should be safe It was designed with a 29 in mind so it should be perfect for you. haha ;o)

Fail-Safe Auto-Topoff

It's not a shabby design ... however it has to be above the display tank and that is not an option in my case where the jug will be on the floor. I was thinking something just as simple using air. This way it's easy to simply unscrew the cap refill it and have FW at the switch of a button.

Nice system. Sorry I thought you were looking for an automated solution, ignore the link. I like the simplicity of your design. I might do something like that for water changes. Although I need a similar thing to get the water out...

Anyway I'm getting off topic, all the tanks look nice though.

Keep posting those 29 gallons!

Speaking of 29 Gal... have you guys noticed how much you are paying for your electric bill ... I am really curious to see mine now that I have a MH. Anyone know how much of a price hike to expect?

While you are on the topic how much did you pay w/out the MH? I haven't setup my tank yet so I'm curious what the increase will be. I'm approximating $20/month but I'm unsure of that number.

my bill went up around 50bucks
and i think if you have a 29 and the subject is someting in your tank so you are not out of subject

kabal2 is that only for your 29 or for both 29 and 45? $50 seems kinda high according to my estimates. But I think thats a theme in this hobby. All well what else would I do with it?

I just got my PG & E bill and it's too hard to compare to anything else because now that it's warmer I'm using less heating but for half the month I've had a MH on ... and compared to this month's last year's bill I've actually spent less Kwh per day. However there were 32 days last month and I used 706 Kwh and this month there were only 29 days and I used 693 Kwh. So I think it's just gone up by perhaps $10 for the entire setup... IMO cheap :D

nice aquascape bobby I like the double archway. It draws visual appeal and I'm sure fish would love them, but where are they?
