I have had this coral for a couple years. It was the size of a baseball when I bought it. It is now the size of a basketball.

LOL that colt is enormous! very nice!

the biggest softee i have is my kenya tree, its a few years old, around 18", it probably is bigger but it flops over at the top.
its fullness varies daily

did it ever catch a fish? ive always been afraid to get one

i know its got a few crabs but never seen a fish.
have had alot of fish come up missing with out a trace.
need to learn how to frag it and get it out because im want to move in to full stonie.
ive had it for about 2.5 years.
thank you that is my first picture i posted

I have a large elephant ear too. It's at least 12" across. Let me tell you, they can catch and kill fish. Here's a pic of mine expelling an Ebili Angelfish.

When it was smaller, it often formed a cup and nearly caught several fish. Now that it's larger, it stays fully open most of the time and doesn't seem interested in catching fish any longer. I'm not sure what changed other than it's size.

I like it too much to remove it :-) It hasn't kill anything in a good year or two and it's huge now.

Between that thing and my triggerfish, I stay far away from my tank

does it spit out babies like reg mushrooms?

No it doesn't. In fact, I really wish I could frag it, but I haven't found information from fragging such a coral and don't want to risk killing it.
