Post STN: frag or leave the skeletons?

I've been battling an STN outbreak in my tank. It looks like the STN may be bottoming and things are starting to turn around.

What do I do with the dead branches. Should I leave them or frag them? Will the SPS come back quicker if the dead skeleton is left in place since a new skeleton doesn't need to be created?

I had some tissue loss on my acros & montis acclimating to zeo. I left the skeletons and the recovery seemed to be relatively rapid.

I always cut away the dead branches. Seemed like any dead ones would just grow algae that would hinder the coral growth.

I'd leave em. I've had a few I thought were dead but after a few weeks of things going in the right direction, polyps have returned and they are coloring up.

I had the same issue with a couple different corals some did encrust back over the dead skeleton but others still have not grown back at the STN site but grow new tips .
depending on how fast they grow I would say cut aswell if algea starts.
