Sac Valley in Ione has one area up to 100yds, once you've "qualified" you can then shoot at the 300yd range where targets can be placed at 150,200,250 and 300 yds. to shoot at 1000yds you have to be with one of the shooting events.
Sac Valley is the best range I have been to. It is run by the Folsom Gun club.

I can't remember the dimensions off the top of my head but the pond itself is about 8000+gallons then I have a 1500g settling chamber(like a sump in a sense) then with all the piping and my dad his pics of it all before I buried it thats at least another 500g=).. I think it's like a 15' diameter and 7' deep and 8 or 9' in the middle..something like that

Takin' my wife and kids to the parts to see, outsida our parts.

While our dogs polish the guns as the neighbors watch in paranoia.

The neighbors get my ammo and shooting platforms any time we're gone. All Legal!

You guys think fish are expensive, try setting up one of those custom Palma guns can run you 3K pretty easy.

Then we start getting into reloading equipment etc.

Go price out a box of .308 shells for some starters.

try a 257 weatherby... mail order they are 80/20... you get really good and siting in a scope at $4 a shot :lol:

I am also a target shooter (doesn't mean I hit them very often though!).
I'm more of a pistol guy, have a few 1911's. I am working on building a couple "Kalifornia"-legal ARs, though most parts for them are backordered about 6 months due to the recent election. I've recd an armalite AR10 upper in 338 but am backordered on a 22lr upper and all the trigger parts etc...

Maybe we need a "MARS Day at the Range" in the spring sometime???

have you tried the para-ordnance 1911s? I have both a kimber and a para and like the para A LOT more than my kimber, and they are about the same price. just an idea...
