Post your Flower Anemone / Epicystis Crucifer pictures

I received this flower anemone on a frag of sun polyps. It originally looked like a small aiptasia and I almost juiced it. It had a slight orange color under actinics so I kept it. It eventually grew into this after about 7 months. The picture is a few months old and it is about twice that size now. I haven’t seen a thread with lots of flower anemone pictures so lets start one.

Humm. . . I still want to know about care. . . I love those guys, but don't want to get one if I couldn't care for it. I've got a 20 gallon tank with 65 watts 50/50 PCs and am probably going to double that lighting soon. Anyone think it'd be doable? If not why? I know they're supposedly lower lighting than hosting 'nems.

Mine is under 80 watts of PC’s and likes to eat anything you give it. They like to keep their foot in the sand next to a rock. I hope that helps.

The picture doesnt do it justice. The tentacles are really purple with pink stripes, and he has a bright orange mouth. My hubby is really proud of it and really attached to it. He got him when were at a local inlet collecting critters.

Here is a side shot. His base is really bumpy and neat looking. This was taken right after feeding him.

I had a peach colored one that spawned in the tank and I had tiny peach anemones poping up everywhere. You can find them in every color of the rainbow down in the Keys.
