hello all,

so lets see if we can find a limit for SPS and no3.,

mine tests at most 0.2 PPm using salifert kit.

po4 about 0.02.

I hear of ppl saying they grow and color up SPS in 10 PPM of no3 ! could this be true ? if so how lol

I don't beleave this myself but anthony callfo told us at our local club swap that you will get better color around 10ppm.

do you know if there are any articles or readings out there supporting this ? or even about this lol

I have done alot of work to lower my no3 from 2 to 0.2 PPM and now the corals look 100 times better ! hmm perhaps time to put a couple of SPS frags in my FOWLR tank, which has no3 of 15 PPM and see what happens. lighting for that is only 2 t5, but I will put a monti cap frag right under the light to see how it works
