An old one from back in the film days. I'd love to go back here today with my digital gear. I fear today it would not be the same as it was 10 years ago. This morning it was me and only one other photographer. What a spectacular place!

Yes, indeed it is a special place. Nice to have that view almost all to your self. When I was there this past summer, it was midday and there was probably about 200 tourists about. Still sweet though, looking forward to the day I go back.

Yuck, kills it for me. Wonder what it was like at sunrise?

It's a double edged sword right? Part of me is happy to see people out enjoying nature and being active. I think that is awesome. The other part of me wishes they'd stay home on their couch so I could go back to having these places to myself and the few select others I'd run into from time to time. Alas all good things must come to an end. Lord knows if people weren't going to these places and protecting them they would one day all be gone and no one could enjoy them.

well dude, that is pretty dang nice :). It's a little small so I can't make out any distinct landmarks. What city?

About time to resurrect this thread! I went out looking for some Eagles to photograph the other night. We did find one and I grabbed a few frames. Though he was a little more nestled in branches then I would have liked. Then on the way home we had to stop several times as this unfolded before our eyes. Man do I love living here!!

Not a fantastic reflection image but it is a reflection :). Immature Eagle from the a prior trip to the same area.

This is extremely nice!!

It was amazing. Unfortunately we were pressed for time. There were so many other compositional opportunities I would have liked to toy with. The colors happen from time to time but the calm waters below them not too often.

Thanks, I need to hit up that spot again. All I had was my 35mm f2 that day (part of a challenge I was taking part of) and me and that lens just do not get along. I need to take my 12-24 out there and see what I can do.
