Don't plan on upgrading for the near future. Will when I need to. Biggest fish is the yellow tang at about 4", the angels are slightly smaller. The yellow and the blue i've had for the last 2.5 years. The majestic for a year. and the Asfur has been in there for about 4 months. I know it would commonly be a concern, but with no aggression, and 0-5ppm nitrates, my stocking levels don't seem to be an issue.

I currently have a Blue Tang (Hippo), Orange Lined Bristletooth Tang, Banggai Cardinal, Bluespot Watchman Goby, Flame Hawk, 6-Line Wrasse, Royal Gramma, Pair of Ocellarous Clowns and an Azure Damsel.

Regret Adding: Purple Psuedo years ago, that fish was the nastiest fish I've even seen. Not a fish, but a Peppermint Shrimp. That sucker would eat the lashes of my zoas. And yes it was a Peppermint, not a Camel. I don't recommend them for any tank, but just my opinion.

if you can keep up with the bioload there isn't a limit on the amount of fishes. I am long as you have your water param controlled you'll be fine.

This...isnt entirely true.

I would consider my tank overstocked...I am adding more fish to it as well.

The nitrates will continue to be zero...but that isnt the reason I am stopping where I am stopping.

I am stopping at this point because I know that the fish will run out of habitat and places to sleep causing aggression until one or the other dies or jumps. Not good...leads to disease etc even in the best setups.

Overstocked for me is where you reach the point where your fish cannot grow as fast and to the largest natural size possible. In addition, it is where they become unhealthy, and unhappy living in the set circumstances.

Mixed Reef 180gal 30gal sump
2 Yellow Tang
1 Purple Tang
1 Blueface Angel
1 Blue Tang[possibly removing him]
1 Goldbar Clownfish
1 Chromis

Mixed Reef 120gal 30gal sump
3 Bartlett Anthias
2 Ocellaris Clownfish
1 Yellow Watchmen Goby
1 Sixline Wrasse
1 Blue Yellowtail Damsel
1 Chromis
1 Majestic Angel

Wish I could remove the Damsels but they're too smart for fish trap. =[

180g 6x2x2 reef mostly sps...but a good mix across the board

1 moorish idol (does not nip at anything and eats great)
2 blue hippo tang
1 yellow tang
1 purple tang
1 unicorn tang
1 mandarin dragonet
5 green chromis
1 marine betta
1 sailfin tang
1 ugly damsel
1 huge domino damsel
1 marroon clown

inverts

2 fire shrinp
2 cleaner shrimp
1 purple lobster
1 pistol shrimp

Pretty standard list across the board....ALways a safe list and usually healthy and no coral nipping.

The best fish are never reef friendly

Things I will never put in my reef tank again

any angels or any other fish they say might be ok...you will learn the hard when they nip and destroy everything..even my moorish idol is a little sketchy but I take the risk...because he is bad A#@

No more lionfish in reef tanks...to many close calls

No urchins (they are bulldozers and well I had a close call when he got me one time when I was cleaning my tank)

No foxface or rabbitface...poisonous It gets old being careful all the time
