Tom, I really like in wall tanks with 2 viewable panels! I'm sure it is a popular "conversation peice" in your home! :p

Awesome tank tom, im surprised you didnt volunteer for the tank tour... :D.

Question, what have you done to keep your palette surgeon looking so nice? I just purchased a juvenile and am wanting to avoid it looking like so many adults ive seen with HLLE AND Fin Erosion.

I feed all my fish alot. Algae clips with nori are essential IMO for any tang or surgeon. I go through a 8" x 10" sheet of nori a day and the fish chew through that in minutes. I also have large schools of anthias so I also feed mysis, bloodworm, brine and daphnia a couple times a day.

Thanks for the info on feeding.

I really like how clean looking your sump room looks tom, everything seems to have its own place. Have you had any problems with the 4 plug outlets your using? I noticed you left one plug open on each one instead of filling them up, are they on seperate circuit breakers?

If anyone wants to read my QT progress with my new surgeon(im sure Pet World Bill wont mind keep track of how his fish do after they leave the store) then check out the "P. Hepatus opinions" thread on the Reef Fishes forum.

Both 4 ways are on the same circuit, but I have my lights on a seperate one. When I put the electrical plan together for the filter room I tried to plan for some future upgrades in the electrical area. You know you can never have enough outlets. I have made some upgrades to the room since the beginning, but all in all it has worked out well.

Here is my nano cube that I am currently working on setting up. So far I've painted the stand and the back of the tank and have had Dave from paradise cove drill the back and Bill from petworld has been working with me on plumbing and the sump.

Its the begining of a beautiful thing.

Take care,

Dr. Bessmer

Can we get some details on the clam tank? Is this one of the newer tanks that all 4 sides are the overflow or am I missing something?

tom yes it is.. i design the tank and had it built by a shop here. i've sold the tank to a reefer in the dallas/fort worth area and he's got it running.

the tank is a 24x24x10 top box and the lower is 28x28x3 as the bottom/water over flow box. it was plumed to my 60gallon display and had a 10k ushio 250 mh wiht 2x75w vho actinics.

i can post more pics of the setup if anyone would like.

Thanks Travis!! Nice tank and AWESOME skimmer!! I've followed some of your posts and your skimmer purchase. I ended up going Deltec even though I was considering BK. How do you like it so far?
