Potassium (k+)

I have recently seen that Elos is releasing, has released, a potassium test kit. Has there been enough testing on seawater/aquariums to determine a range of expected values? Moreover, what would be toxic levels to marine life.

I may be a bit late, so if there has already been a discussion of this please direct me.

If you are trying to decipher 50 ppm on a hobby kit I believe you are wasting time and effort.Zeo users go by NSW #s but the test kit noise is so great I do not believe this is a parameter we should be very concerned about.

if you are NOT using the Zeoliths, then yes your are right, do not worry about K+ as wter changes alone can take care of it.

it is believed however that the Zeoliths and heavy skimming does remove some K+ which corals need.

usually when I miss a water change, the week after K+ drops a bit to like 320 PPM.
