I am thinking about selling my 75 again to go smaller, that means maybe go with the RedSea MAX... I judt dont know how much i could get for the 75. I will list all it has and if you guys happen to have baught something or know of how much i could probalby sell the thigns for, or the whoe setup, please feel free to post :)

EQUIPMENT:

*BRAND NEW* MAG- 24 pump

Seio 1100 (well used but still works great, modded to sit on rim)

75 Gal Glass Aquarium, Non drilled

Custom Biult Wood Stand with cabinets

48" 216w TEK Light with all new bulbs (only 3 months old) (Light is in GREAT condition)

Nice Overflow, single blukhead, IDK the GPH rating though

All Plumbing needed (flexhose, PVC...)

Rubbermaid Sump, but would include a 20 gal glass tank

Rio 1700 return

custom SeaLife Skimmer, with like 35 turnover (Skinny Joe made it, and it works GOOD)

Pentair Lifegaurt Filter , 3 stage, 3 canister, practically new, havent been used for EVER

35w UV sterilizer with pump (may need new bulb, $8 on aquatraders dot com)

FIlter Sock

Grounding cable

Live-Things:

20LBS LR (would want to keep some if i were to get anew tank)

Scopas Tang

Sooo...that is pretty much it, do you think i would be able to buy a MAX with the money i would get from selling all of that?

I would want to keep the few corals that i have, but maybe i could spare a mushroom or two if that sealed the deal (:))

this skimmer is a downdraft venturi rated for a 250 gallon tank and has a turnover rate of 900 pgh.

also you will be better off seperating it. the mag24, skimmer, light and filters will go first. amd i think that the redsea's are over priced for my taste. i just sold a 29 gallon biocube and that is a nice setup and would cost you about half of the redsea. with the stuff listed above it should pay for the tank and stand then you will have extra money to start over with like rock, sand, etc

I think i paid $250 for the light, i'd let it go for $190

And one of the members on here said that they could get the red sea for only $499 (or was it $599)...either way, that is way better than the $800 that i see everywhere else. And the fact that it has T5's and all built into it and i wouldn't have to get any additional lights or HQI to throw on top of it, it makes it a truly "all in one" tank.

but how much do you think i could get for the tank and stand?

i agree this is the quote from marinedepot on the redsea

2 x 55 watt T5 power compacts (1 watt-liter/4 watt-gallon)

keep in mind that the (t) stands for the size of the bulb just like t12's can be 110 watts, 40 watts etc. and that deal on the jbj is great. comes with the stand and hqi. can't beat it. i just fixed a fellow reefers redsea due to the timer taking a dump. i do like the way the have the electrical setup on the side but other than that i think the are over rated for what you get. go with the jbj and you will be futher ahead than you are now and will cost you less in the long run.

Hey Seth, I actually own a Red Sea tank so if you have any questions about it just send me a PM or an email sometime. While I wouldn't want to keep the majority of sps in it, i am keeping low light ones, lps, softies etc just fine and so far a BTA that's been in there for a few weeks is actually looking about the same as its clone in my 55g. an interesting experiment to see how the light compares, but its a great all in one tank.

Yeah, that is a great tank. But is JBJ really a good brand? i have heard a lot of bad things about JBJ products , JEBO was the mothere company i think, and i KNOW their products suck, from personal experiences. Well, after reading the specs, i like that JBJ better i think. and Alternating wavemaker? is that like what i have now (red sea wavemaker pro) or like the kind that actually move the water up and down, that is very cool.

I would part out probaby

and Chrissie, dont have TOO many questions abotu the Red Sea, but over-all, do you like it? What problems do you have with it, and is the lighting T5, or T5 compacts like the site said?
