Powder blue eating corals! What to do?

I have never seen a surgeonfish interested in eating acropora... But I guess there's a first for everything. he only eats the growth tips and nothing else.

So the fish is a really great inhabitant. Never had disease or issues, took to any food I put in the tank quickly, and just recently decided to acquire a taste for acro growth tips... Now, is there anything I can do to stop him or is this ultimately going to result in me moving him out?

Well Id be interested in him if you want to get rid of him. Do you feed him any algae leaves? Like red algae? If you dont sometimes feeding them this will curb aggression and provide a healthier fish.

Dan: it is picking on all larger acros and especially on my sunset mille. Never on frags.

PAstreet: I have increased nori offerings so I will try this for a few weeks to see if it helps... If not, I am happy to know the tang will have a good home!

Maybe try different nori also. I have fed a couple different kinds, and I can tell you that Julian Sprungs purple is devoured in under 2 minutes and the green and brown stay for maybe 10. Grocery store stuff maybe 20. I don't have a powder blue though, so I cannot speak to their preference.
