Powder blue tang with ick

I have a powder blue tang and I have just noticed ick on him. I would like to know if there is something I can do other than treat the tank. I was thinking possibly a
Freshwater dip. Please give some advice. Expensive fish.

A fresh water dip will really not cure the problem, and may simply stress the fish further. There are two methods of treating ich; copper and hyposalinity. Do you have a quarantine tank you can use? The other concern is that any fish exposed is at high risk to also contract the parasite. All fish should be treated. Is this a reef tank? How many other fish are present?
