powder blue tang

Hi Guys
Thinking about a powder blue tang, I've got a raccoon butterfly fish, picasso triggerfish, lemonpeel angelfish and a couple of clownfish. Are they as aggressive as described or would it be okay with these tankmates.I have a 450l corner tank.

Thanks

I dont think the powder blue tang would work in that tank. I have one in a 6' 125 and he swims the entire 6' all day. he's only ~5 inches right now and still VERY active.

450L is less than 120g and it's a corner style. There's no way that a tank that size should house a Paracanthurus hepatus tang.

Just to note, the powder blue tang is acanthurus leucosternon. Your reference was for the blue hippo tang.

Correct, but the OP's tank size is still way too small. Not only would the fish be unhappy, but when confined powder blues can get extremely aggressive and make life miserable for tankmates.

I agree with you on the tank size, have a powder blue myself and they like room to move.
My apologies if my post came off wrong, I get hung up in details sometimes.
