Powder blue tang

[Red Sea reefer]

Hello every one , so yesterday I got powder blue tang and I put it in my QT
It's seem to be good swmming good all over the QT but the problem is its don't eat , I tired different food but won't every care about it I know it's might be scary cause I just add its yesterday but I wanna make sure it's will eat so
Any one can help with that any suggestions ???

Sometimes it take several days for the fish to start to eat. They are stressed out due to the new environment.

I agree. It may take a couple of days to couple weeks for a fish to get comfortable. Once they are comfortable and feel safe, that's when they usually start eating. Did you have a chance to see the fish eat before you purchase it? Also what helps me out sometimes is putting a piece of Nori rubberband to a small piece of rock and put in the bottom of the tank.

I tried the nori and rubbernanded it but not work
No I didn't , it was just arrived and I bought it it was
Like60% off they didn't acclimate it yet

30$ for six inch powder blue wouldn't miss that

Each fish is different. There are so many factors like how they were captured, how they were transported, cared for, etc.

I have 5 fishes in my QT right now. 2 clowns that are adorable. They started swimming and eating immediately, and they are always hungry. A wrasse that started eating 2 days later, a Jawfish that started eating in the third day, and a Gobi that has not start eating yet and it has been over a week.

Keep trying, until your fish start eating. Very small amount of food at time, so you won't ruin your water quality.

You could try adding selcon to the food. May be enough to get the fish to start eating.

I have had my PB for over 7 years now and he has never eaten off a nori clip, He loves Ocean Nutrition Brine Shrimp Plus Flakes it is the orange container. Very emotional fish, they ick up fast.

I had one before and it was eating every thing I was doing great tell my anemone ate him
I had tried the ocean nutrination and flakes but no way I will try the brine shrimp and will see

My old fail safe go to trick is live brine, I have yet to find a fish that has survived captivity that will not eat live brine...of course a new fish does need a day or two to just calm down, then if it won't eat live brine, it probably isn't going to eat anything. Good Luck!

Very common. It can take quite a few days before they start to eat.
